Who said Hummers can't fly
Our first BAHA trip for 1998 and was to Nevada. We left Friday night and got there so we could get an early start on Saturday morning. Some of us enjoyed the free show at the Nuggett. Glen Campbell. It was a nice show and a great start of a fantastic trip. Rod Hall International Saturday morning we had a tour of their shop and talk about their race program, schools and Hummers in general. We then went to Sand Mountain in the afternoon. We stayed in Fallon Saturday night and then head home Sunday morning after a trial ride on six mile canyon road into Virginia City. Important- It is required to have a flag on the truck mounted on a antenna to alert others you are on a dune. Here is the law - (CVC 38330) - An 8' whip with an orange or red flag with a minimum size of 6" X 12". Tom
Fritz has made our official BAHA flag. He has made 10 flags and they are ready to
go. Two are hand stiched, the rest are machine. all of them All Hummers are black, with white windows / trim. The paint on most of the flags are black with white "holes" in B+A. The flags are machine washable. It is not advised to drive down there with the flags on... but should be able to take 20+ miles at full highway speeds (for me that means 70 MPH). The price for the flags are $5.00 which should cover the materals.. E-mail him for details. |
