2008 Fund Raising Letter
Dear
Neighbor,
With your help, the Calaveras County Search and Rescue Team can save
lives. We ask you to consider donating during our 27th
anniversary fundraiser, because your support means that we can further our
team’s training, upgrade equipment necessary for rescue operations, and
maintain the highest level of preparedness for every rescue emergency.
When flooding threatened local neighborhoods and stranded motorists this
year, we were there. We train for swift water rescue so that our
community is prepared when disaster strikes. When skiers became
lost and injured during severe weather, we were there. We train to
search under adverse conditions, and to manage rescue operations when
the terrain is steep and hazardous. We are there when you need us:
24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
You
can help us maintain our emergency preparedness in any one of these
ways:
· Make
a cash or equipment donation,
· Purchase
raffle tickets (e-mail
us for a raffle envelope), or
· Volunteer
and become a member.
Whichever you choose, thank you for your support. We rely on
contributions from people like you to keep our program strong.
Since our team is all volunteers, be assured that your donation goes
directly toward the purchase of needed equipment and training for our
members.
This year local businesses and individuals donated generously to help us
build extravagant raffle prize packages that you can win! 2008
Prize list coming soon.
On behalf of the team, thank you for any donation you may give. Your
contribution helps us maintain the diverse set of needed skills to
quickly respond when disaster threatens the lives of our neighbors and
our visitors. As a favor, please pass this letter and your unused
raffle tickets to others who might have an interest supporting our team.
My best regards,
Mike Jones
